FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Special Edition of This Week in the House Republican Caucus Focuses on How House Bill 1 Will Hurt Schools, Local Government, and Small Businesses in Kentucky
FRANKFORT, Ky. (February 7, 2014) – On a special edition of This Week in the House Republican Caucus, House Republicans present fact-based arguments on why raising Kentucky's minimum wage would hurt taxpayers more than it will help. House Republicans cite reviews by LRC economists find that raising the minimum wage through HB 1 would place unfunded mandates on schools and local government of a combined $84.4 million over the next 10 years.
